Wright Brothers, Undercover Architecture

The brief for Undercover Architecture was to create a new restaurant at the Old Spitalfields Market in London that challenged what the experience of dining in a seafood restaurant could be. Graffiti (Varna, Bulgaria) / Studio MODE

53 Winner of both the Europe and best international bar categories in the 2012 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, Café Graffiti in Varna, Bulgaria designed by Studio MODE is a visually exquisite venue. Unique and artistic, the interior is a showcase for the expressive ceiling, formed from hundreds of plywood slivers rising up from the three strong curvy columns. The wall tiling is a three-dimensional imitation of the geometric flooring, continuing the multi-surface flow of materials that is such a theme within Graffiti.
